Race Week is Upon Us!
A few injuries and a few holidays means a some regulars weren’t in attendance this week, but we did see some new faces and some old faces which was lovely!
We are trying out a few different routes for our Coffee Run in the upcoming weeks. We decided to head west this week and it was STUNNING. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again… it NEVER rains on a thursday
THIS WEEK
SATURDAY
With the Hospice to Hospice Half Marathon coming up, we have a number of members running so on the Saturday before we will be doing a shake out. A great way to ease the legs up and discuss any issues and try and ease the nerves before the big day. We will meet at the Freedom Tree for 9am and we will go for a 20 mins easy run, followed by a few strides to get some pop in the legs. We’ll then head for coffee and/ors some food afterwards. If you’re running the half marathon, the 10k, the relay or if you’re not racing at all. Everyone is welcome!
WEDNESDAY
We will be keeping it short and fast in preparation for Sunday
Warm Up
Light jog / mobility / drills
Main Session
5 x 15 secs on / 45 secs off
10 x 60 secs on / 60 secs off
10 x 30 secs on / 30 secs off
Cool Down
Light jog / stretches / debrief
Meet at Freedom Tree for 6pm
Bag drop available at Funktion from 5.30pm
THURSDAY
Meet at Trenton Square (Outside Coopers IFC) for 7am and we will still be sticking with a chatty 30 minute session (15 mins out / 15 mins back) followed by coffee and catch up at The Loft St Helier. Bag drop available at Funktion from 6.45am
Look after yourself this week, make sure you prioritise sleep, recovery and getting to that start line feeling fresh!
